hello there, friend,

i read your post yesterday at work and thought about how exciting early adulthood was for me... every decision i made was mine to make... from how late to stay up to what i wanted to eat, what i did for the weekend to where i traveled over spring break or where i worked during the summer. i felt such freedom in those years.

now, i know that life is brutiful, like glennon melton says. it's equal parts brutal and beautiful. being an adult has it's challenges... and i have to remember that growing into one does too.

i found this quote a few years ago, and keep it in my office. it brings me enormous comfort as i navigate being a mother, daughter, wife, sister, friend...

May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May today there be peace within. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you. ~ St. Teresa of Avila
