hello there, friend,

you write of one of our greatest struggles, as women, mothers, wives... the desire to do it all and do it well. to 'bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan', not to mention all the other tasks that fall to us or that we choose. there are not enough hours in a day to get it all done. when we try, we often suffer for it and so do those around us. we suffer because our to-do lists take priority over people, our goal setting doesn't always fit in with the desires of those we live with.

ironically i am living a crazy and very literal messy life. there are piles of clutter almost everywhere i look, laundry on the floor that needs folded, beds that should have been made, it's rare to know where my purse, phone, or camera is... i long for uncluttered and organized spaces, not too picture perfect, but i'd like to know where the bills are at the end of the month.

as you let go of perfectionism, i wonder what it is you fear... as i try to get a handle on clutter, i wonder what it is i fear... what is stopping me? i think it's fear of turning into someone rigid and inflexible and the shame that comes when i look around and see how much there is to do... it's easily overwhelming. and yet for each of us, there are lessons to be learned about letting go and making changes... allowing for something greater.

{there was a bit of conversation generated on IG after this post, so we decided to open up the comments. what are your thoughts?}
