Hello there, friend,
Early last week, I realized that I haven't been going on many adventures. Instead, I've been shuffling kids to school, sitting at my desk working, and holding everything together when my husband is gone. So when the sun came out on Friday morning, peeking through the clouds and singing against the bright blue sky, I grabbed my camera and clicked all day.
After school, I took the kids to the park. We walked through the woods, collecting pine cones and eventually ending up at the creek where they entertained themselves by throwing rocks. I clicked away and breathed the cool, fall air. I could feel the joy filling in my chest.
I know I've said it before (so why can't I remember it when I need to?), that getting out and having an adventure is a cure-all. Whenever the inspiration feels dry or life seems to be closing in, it's time to get out, explore, change the scenery. I used to be so good at this. I want to be good at it again.
