Hello there, friend,

This weekend, only what matters led me to decide to take my daughter out for lunch, to finally hang hooks in the entryway to handle the mess of jackets, and to make time for coffee with a friend. It's funny to me how this mantra is like a daily check-in. Does what I'm doing right now really matter? Is there something more important I could be doing? The answer is sometimes yes and sometimes no.

But the sometimes yes is very good, like I've given myself permission to enjoy what I'm doing at that moment because what I'm doing actually matters. No guilt. No worry about what I'm not doing or what else I could be doing. It gives me a chance to be fully present in what's before me. I'm giving myself chance to rest and relax in the moment. I didn't know this mantra was going to do that, but I'm grateful.
