hello there, friend,
i write to you on yet another snowy morning. luckily, it was a prescheduled holiday. after sleeping in until almost 9, we gathered around the table for breakfast around 10. we are still in pajamas, reading, daydreaming and catching up on work in various ways. we have enough groceries for the next few days and we'll have time to dig out when the flakes stop falling.
as i washed dishes this morning, i reflected on the gratitude i feel in being together inside this house, how i feel safe and secure within the walls of home, even as i know one day my children will walk away from our home into their own lives. being here right now is what i think we're called to... i'm so grateful when i realize in the very small moments that i am.
