hello there, friend,
this last week, i've found a new loop to run in the mornings. i run through the middle of campus, past the duck pond and wind around the agricultural barns past young horses and sheep. the fields at the half way point are full of bright yellow flowers, timothy, and dill. near the barns the swallows flit overhead. it is breathtakingly beautiful.
i return full of gratitude for where i am right now, for the place where we live, for the body i inhabit, for the opportunities i have been given. i refill my coffee mug and sort through my lists, noting what is essential for the day and thinking about how to involve my kids in both the daily tasks of life as well as the ones that will help us prepare for our trip.
