Hello there, friend,

I'm thankful that it's Friday. It's been a weird week. But I'm sitting here with my coffee, which has somehow turned cold, trying to process everything and figure out what to say. I've been floating along this week, run-down tired and still trying to hold everything together. Some moments have been better than others.

So, in looking out at the weekend, with all its possibility and hope, I'm thinking about gratitude: for the sun peeking out from behind the clouds, for two kids who didn't fight at the grocery store, for coffee that was once hot, for a few minutes to read, for a good night's sleep, for quiet. I'm thankful that this week was what it was, a time to connect and hopefully heal old wounds, a time for love to cover the multitude of mistakes.
