Hello there, friend,
Last night, I was listening to a podcast that suggested writing a personal manifesto. It's actually something I've been thinking a lot about lately, so it was interesting to me that this podcast chose this particular topic. I love the idea of writing a manifesto or mission statement. It gives purpose, focus, and clarity to what we choose to do.
And not only what we do but what we don't do. If we define what we are, we also define what we are not. That can be the most helpful thing of all because we can't do everything, we can't be everything.
Your letter yesterday was a manifesto of sorts. As you and your family start a new school year, you've already set your intention, your hope for what that might look like. It's not based on achievement; it's based on heart. I love that. I plan to spend some time journaling about what my manifesto will be. We're still in the middle of summer here, but I can see the changes looming on the horizon. School will be starting before I know it.
