Hello there, friend,

Yesterday I returned from a weekend away with one of my best friends. We went to a women's retreat at a sleep-away camp an hour away. It was wonderful. We paddle boarded at sunrise and did yoga after dark. We rode in a sailboat and zip lined for the first time. The weekend was full of adventure, and we left happily exhausted.

Before leaving, she mentioned to me that she had hoped to return home feeling refreshed and ready to take on whatever's next. I said that I expected to come back totally drained, body, mind, and spirit. I've become more familiar with that feeling, pushing to the end of myself and enjoying the restorative do-nothing-ness that comes afterward. A hearty welcome home and a long nap were just the ticket. Today I feel totally refreshed. I hope she does too.
